About Allie

Good Business
Allie Bones has been with Arizona Coalition Against Domestic Violence (AzCADV) for over two years.  During this short tenure, Bones has changed the organization around.  Today, AzCADV has 14 board members (an increase from three members when Bones began), along with a comprehensive orientation manual and process, a very solid and committed staff and much greater relationships with their program members.  One of Bones' greatest achievements has been breaking down barriers and connecting the 13 domestic violence shelters in Maricopa County to work as a coordinated community.  Bringing this fractured group together to operate as a team took lots of "behind the scenes" relationship-building.  As a result of this increased collaboration, AzCADV is now in the process of speaking to the foundation community about taking the effort to the next level, which would including putting together a collaborative, non-competitive service model that would provide comprehensive services to victims across Maricopa County.  In just 20 months, Bones guided her team to take a fragmented system of 13 various programs, with very limited interaction, to the potential of a shared service delivery model that minimizes duplicated resources and eases the process for victims in the community at large.

Leadership
Bones' approach to leadership is to lead by example and to make sure the AzCADV staff has the tools they need to do their jobs (detailed job descriptions, training and supervision).  She guides her committed and talented team with passion and a constant focus on the organization's mission and strategic plan.

Mission
The mission of AzCADV is to lead, to advocate, to educate, to collaborate, to end domestic violence in Arizona.  Our major objectives are to create lasting systems that alter the responses to domestic violence through training, systems advocacy, providing technical assistance and public awareness.
